London plays host to all the world's major plays and musical
productions, often they premiere here too. The theatres are mainly clustered
in the West End (the area has recently been named "Theatreland"
by some) and most are easily reachable by public transport. The price
of tickets can differ dramatically, depending on where you get them
from, when the performance is and what your seating arrangement is.
The cheapest tickets are usually matinees in the week, while the more
expensive ones are for weekend evening performances. Try you luck with
the half prices ticket stalls, several of which can be found in and
around Leicester Square. Or if you prefer to be more organised, book
a ticket online via the official websites or official ticket offices.
Please note that more than often, you will be charged a booking fee.
