Windsor, Hampton Court Gardens and Runnymede

Windsor, Hampton Court Gardens and RunnymedeWindsor Castle was founded by William the Conqueror, where we see the recently restored State Apartments* with its superb example of gothic perpendicular architecture and its fine vaulted ceiling of the Chapel of St. George.** It is here that we see the tombs of King Henry VIII and Charles I.

Runnymede and Hampton Court - we drive past Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215, then we will see the John F. Kennedy Memorial.

During September and October, this tour will visit Hampton Course Gardens for tea.

* Occasionally the State Apartments are closed and if so, a 10% discount will be offered.
** Viewing is restricted on Sundays.
